Not another boring presentation - learn how to captivate your audience.
Presenting concepts, ideas, and projects, but also the company, services, and products to employees, colleagues, customers, or business partners in a convincing and effective manner is a routine part of many jobs these days. Unfortunately, only 3% of presentations captivate their audiences, while more than 80% are dull and boring.
Our aim is to ensure that your presentations are among the 3% that captivate and engage their audiences. During the 2-day workshop you will learn how to efficiently prepare a presentation and tailor it to specific audiences. You will overcome your stage fright and learn how to enjoy giving presentations. In short: you captivate your audience and win them over not only with what you are saying but also with how you are saying it. More details

If created properly, graphics are the most effective way to explain complex ideas in the shortest amount of time, attract audience and raise credibility. Nevertheless, researchers aren't trained in visual communication in the traditional PhD curricula and are supposed to acquire these skills by themselves. This workshop uses a hands-on approach to help researchers visually present their own research through various means of scientific communication. More details

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) course
A Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) course hosted by the graduate school LSM will run in October 2017:
- in English (October 4-6, 2017) small lecture hall in the BMC
- in German (October 9-13, 2017) in the large lecture hall in the Biocenter
(Just to clarify, the discrepancy in the amount of days between the two courses is due to the fact that the German course has also talks from some companies incorporated. But the course content itself is the same in both EN/DE.)

Experience with GMP is expected from graduates of Life Sciences in many companies, but they are rarely taught at university.
